June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Aries an international manufacturerof standard, programmed and custom interconnection products, has launched a new series of adapter that enable the use of virtuallh any SMT (surface mount technology) IC (integratexd circuit) device on a pitcbh of 0.4 mm or higher to PC boards on 0.5 mm These are ideally suited to adaptingy an IC device to some of the more populat TSSOPs (thin-shrink small outline and QFPs (quad flat packages) on 0.5 mm The unique Fine Pitcb Bump Adapters, an expansion to Aries ' line of Correct-A-Chip Adapters, save designerxs significant time and money by eliminatinb the need for costly engineering rework.
This adapter will enablre the user to solderr aBGA (ball grid array) or other SMT devicwe to pads on the component side of the which will then connect througgh the adapter to the 0.5 mm pitcn raised connection pads (up to on the bottom. The connectiohn scheme comes standard in apin 1-to-pin 1 but can easily be customized to accommodate virtuallhy any connection requirement. The Aries Fine Pitch Bump Adapter boards are fabricatefrom 0.032" thick FR4 or Rogerx 370 HR, with 1/2 oz. copper tracezs on both sides.
