Mississippi has the lowestt internet-usage rate (51.5 percent), followed by West Virginias (52.9 percent). The national average is 62.4 percent The Census said that 75.7 percent of Washington residentd have access to the internert attheir homes, which is third again behind New Hampshire and Alaska (78.5) percent, and well abovre the national average of 67.1 percent.
“As access to high-speed connections have become more prevalent, so too have the numbere of people that connect to the internegtat home,” Thom File, a statisticiamn with the Census Bureau's Housing and Household Economic Statisticse Division, said in a statement Wednesday.
