May’d Midwest index number increased forthe fifth-straight month. “Whiler our survey is not indicatingv an economic turnaround for the next three tosix months, economif indictors are certainly improving from record lows achievexd earlier this year,” Goss said. “I continu to expect the Mid-America economy to be out of a recessiob by the end of the fourtn quarter ofthis year.
